As the 24th year of the four-city quest continues to identify the two-member Indian team which will travel to the 2025 World Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC), qualifying rounds roll on across Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
The second qualifier of the 24th Chola WCGC – India concluded on November 9 at Delhi’s Qutab Golf Club with 108 keen corporate guests competing to be among the four winners to head to the India National Final scheduled for summer 2025.
Dazzling guests with their precision hitting were three of India’s top-performing lady professionals – Hyderabad’s 2023 Domestic Hero Pro Tour No. 1 Sneha Singh, Delhi’s Olympian and European Tour winner Diksha Dagar, and India’s top ranked amateur in the world – Avani Prashanth from Bangalore. Given their demanding schedules and different hometowns, it was a rare and special opportunity for the corporate golfers to see these three stars gathered together in Delhi.
Harley Davidson, a key sponsor, offered participants the chance to pose with their iconic bikes, which were on display, giving the players a fun break from the competitive atmosphere between holes. In a show of support for the caddies, brand new shoes were sponsored by Allcargo—a gesture that was met with widespread applause and appreciation from all attendees.
In the tournament’s main categories, players competed for the titles of “Winner,” “Runner-Up,” and the “Lexus Best Gross” award. The top scorers in the two handicap categories were:
Winners – Karan Khaitan (40 points) and Vikrant Tyagi (43 points)
Runners-Up – Nitin Gupta (39 points) and Papa CJ (38 points)
On-course contest winners were:
Longest Drive (Palo Alto Networks) – Zafar Baig
Straightest Drive (Grant Thornton) – DP Singh
Straightest Drive (Allcargo) – Rajat Mukherjee
Closest to the Pin (Savills) – Ajay Kasana
The coveted Lexus Best Gross prize went to Vinam Jain, with a total of 33 gross points.
