The 24th edition of the Chola World Corporate Golf Challenge – India kicked off on October 26, at Bangalore’s Prestige Golfshire Club.
The four winners from Bangalore will advance to the National Final, where they will be joined by winners from the other 3 regional rounds in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai competing for the chance to represent India at the prestigious World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) which brings together over 7,500 corporate golfers from 40 countries, all aiming to earn the World Final.
This year’s challenge was played in a 3/4 handicap Stableford format, divided into two handicap categories capped at 24, with live scoring and an array of prizes enhancing the experience.
Participants vied for the “Winner,” “Runner-Up,” and the coveted “Lexus Best Gross” categories. As the day came to an end, the prize winners in the two handicap categories were announced:
Winners: Nikhil Cherian (37 points) and Himangshu Baruah (38 points)
Runners-Up: Ashwin Sivaramakrishnan (36 points) and Varun Mammen (38 points)
David D’Souza took home the “Lexus Best Gross” score with 32 gross points. On-course contests awarded standout performances: Arindam Chatterjee won Longest Drive, Alok Bhargav claimed Straightest Drive, and Saif Mekhri took home Closest to the Pin.
