Aaron Rai wins with a birdie on the final hole at the Wyndham Championship

Aaron Rai, the 29-year-old golfer of Indian origin from England, secured a career breakthrough with his first PGA TOUR title at the Wyndham Championship last week in North Carolina .  Rai made a spectacular birdie when he hit his 212 yard approach to 5 feet and made the putt on the 72nd hole and carded rounds of 65-65-68-64 to finish at 18-under 262, earning a coveted victory in the US$ 7.9 million event, in his 3rd year on the PGA Tour.

On a day marked by extended play due to weather delays, Rai showed resilience. He began with a 68 in the morning and followed it up with a flawless, bogey-free 64 in the afternoon to claim the title, finishing two shots ahead of Max Greyserman.
