Aditi Ashok shot 73-73-71-71 (3-under 288) to finish tied for 31st at the ISPS Handa World Invitational, a mixed tournament played simultaneously for men and women with separate US$1.5 mn purses each. It was her 11th made cut in 18 starts on the LPGA Tour. She has two top-20 finishes this year but has struggled in general to match her form from last season.
The women’s tournament was won brilliantly by Sweden’s 22 yr old future superstar Maja Stark, who shot a final round 10 under par 63 to jump from 2 behind the leaders at the start of the round to win the title by five strokes. Her flawless final round with 10 birdies earns her a lucrative and highly coveted LPGA Tour card.
Diksha Dagar shot 73-72-76 (3-over 221) but missed the 54-hole cut set at 1-under 217.
While at the event Dagar also had the opportunity to meet famous singer/songwriter from the British boy band One Direction Niall Horan, who now runs Modest Golf, the host of the tournament.

Tvesa Malik, the third Indian in the field shot 77-76 (8-over 153) to miss the 36-hole cut set at 1-over 146 now heads to Spain for the US$ 1mn Aramco Team Series.
On the men’s side of the European Tour event, no Indians were in the field but Ewen Fergusson became the first Scottish player with two victories in one year on the European Tour since Paul Lawrie in 2012. He opened with a spectacular 61 and then held on over the next 3 days for a 3 stroke victory at 12-under 268.
