Aditi Ashok, having her best year to date, continued her impressive performance on the LPGA Tour with rounds of 68-67-72-67 (14-under 274), finishing tied-8th at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Belmont, Michigan.
Aditi received a cheque of US$ 52,204 (₹42.8 lacs) which places her 15th on the LPGA’s 2023 Race to CME Globe rankings having earned US$ 536,243 throughout the season. She still leads the 2023 European Tour rankings thanks to a win and two other top 3 finishes at the start of the year.
In 2023, Aditi has made 6 cuts in nine LPGA events, with four top 10 finishes including a playoff loss in April in Los Angeles, California.
In September, Aditi will represent India as part of the three-member Guangzhou-bound Asian Games ladies team, alongside 16-year-old amateur Avani Prashanth and 19-year-old Pranavi Urs, all three hailing from Bangalore. Given her current form, she has a strong chance of competing for a medal.
Aditi will now head to New Jersey for the second major championship of the season to play the US $ 9mn KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, from June 22-25.
We at India Golf Weekly wish her all the best and hope her good form continues.
