Aditi Ashok
Aditi Ashok began her 2022 campaign on the LPGA Tour with a 13th place finish at the US$ 2mn Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rico in Florida. Ashok opened the tournament with rounds of 66-72 and was in the top 5 heading into the weekend. However a 4-over 76 in the third round, played in strong winds, dropped her to 17th, but she bounced back with a 2-under 70 to post a final total of 4-under 284.
Nishtha Madan, formerly of Gurgaon, who has relocated to USA and received a sponsor’s invitation to play in the tournament, shot 77-80 (13-over 291) to miss the cut. Madan is expected to play on the LPGA’s development Tour named the Epson Tour (previously Symetra Tour) in 2022. She qualified for the Epson Tour, having reached the second stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament in October 2021.
Aditi Ashok will be in action next at the US$ 1.5mn LPGA Drive On Championship scheduled for Feb. 3-5 in Florida.
