Diksha and Aditi will proudly represent India, keeping the national flag flying high in France

India’s Olympic qualifiers, Aditi Ashok from Bangalore and Diksha Dagar from Haryana, are set to play this week in one of the 5 women’s golf majors – the US$8 million Amundi Evian Championship in France. Great preparation in the last 5 week build up to the Olympic tournament, which takes place August 7 to 10, in Paris.

Aditi, who at 26, has already spent the last 7 years playing the LPGA Tour, is set to compete in her 31st career major, a record for any Indian golfer and qualified for the tournament by finishing among the top 60 ranked players on the 2023 LPGA Money List.

Last year, Aditi finished tied for 42nd at the 2023 Evian Championship but having made the cut in all three majors so far in 2024, with a tied-26th finish at the U.S. Women’s Open being her best, is aiming for a better finish this year.

Diksha Dagar, 22 , gets into the event based on her 3rd place on the final 2023 LET Rankings and her victory at the 2023 Czech Open. She currently stands 14th on the 2024 LET Rankings and has played six majors till date.

Both are also likely to get into the Women’s (British) Open championship, Aug 22 to 25 being played at St. Andrews (Old Course), which will be the final major of 2024.
