Aditi Ashok
Aditi Ashok, in her best display of form since the Tokyo Olympics, finished strongly on the weekend, shooting 67-71-65-64 (13-under 267) to finish tied-6th at the US$ 1.75mn Pelican Women’s Championship on the LPGA Tour in Florida. Aditi’s total of 13-under par was four strokes adrift of four players who went into a playoff for the title – Olympic Gold medalist Nelly Korda, Bronze medalist Lydia Ko, Sei Young Kim and Lexi Thompson. Korda birdied the first playoff hole to become the only four-time winner this season and extend her lead at the top of the world rankings.
Aditi’s tied-6th finish in her final event of the season, marked her third top-10 finish of the year, helping her finish a respectable 74th on the LPGA tour’s money list with US$ 231,225 (Rs 1.71 crores) in earnings. She will resume action in USA in January 2022.
