Indian Olympian and LPGA regular, Aditi Ashok of Bangalore carded an exceptional 8-under 64 in the final round to finish Tied-6th at the second edition of US$ 310,000 Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic at Emirates Golf Club on the Ladies European Tour. The event once again had only 56 invited players in the field, with World No.9, Minjee Lee being the highest best-ranked player. She eventually won the title in an extra-hole playoff against French woman, Celine Boutier.
Aditi’s rounds of 75-69-64 resulted in her second-best finish in 2020. Her best is Tied-4th in the New South Wales Open, Australia, in January this year. The eight-under-64 is also Aditi’s best performance since turning pro. She earned US$ 8508 (₹6,28,808) in prize money The final round 64 also marked the second-best round of the tournament after Kylie Henry’s (SCO) 63, which also came in the final round.

Aditi was joined by Ladies European Tour winner Diksha Dagar and Tvesa Malik and Astha Madan in the field. Tvesa and Astha received last-minute invites when three players withdrew after testing positive for COVID-19. Tvesa finished tied-27th with 3-over 219, Diksha Dagar tied-48th at 11-over 227 and Astha Madan finished tied-52nd at 16-over 232.
