Aditi Ashok is raking up some top finishes in 2023
After missing cuts in her first three tournaments in America this season, Aditi Ashok found the form that saw her finishing 1st, 3rd and 2nd on the European Tour earlier in 2023 to get into a three way playoff in Los Angeles but losing out to eventual winner Hannah Green.
This was Aditi’s best ever finish on the LPGA Tour which saw her take home US$242,000 for her 2nd place finish. She shot 66-70-72-67 (9-under 275) at the US$ 3mn JM Eagle LA Championship at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, California which included a gutsy 72nd hole birdie.
Aditi had a 15-foot putt that lipped out on the 18th in the playoff, ending her bid for her first LPGA title.

In her post round interview, Aditi said, ““I think I played good today, kind of like the first day, no mistakes,” Ashok said. “Just the bogey on 17. Feels like that’s the shot I left out there.”
“Get a week off so I’m going to relax,” Ashok said of her plans moving forward. “This week was actually a little more exhausting than I thought it was going to be. But, still, I’m happy with where my game is at, so just work on the same stuff and try and do some of this at Founders too.”
Aditi said her improved performances this year was based on her working hard in the off season and gaining more clubhead speed which has helped her driving distance jump to 252 yards this year.
Aditi is already having by far her best year ever and the 2023 LPGA season has only just begun. Her earnings on both tours for the past 5 years are shown below.

2020 7,301 44,292 ( COVID YEAR)

Her previous best world rank was 82nd at the end of the year 2017, and now she has reached 62nd which is her highest and which should help her get into all four major championships in 2023.
