Tokyo bound 23-year-old Aditi Ashok and the 2020 US Collegiate player of the Year 22-year-old Natalie Srinivasan, also of Indian origin, both missed cuts at the US$ 4.5mn Evian Championship in France after creditably qualifying for this women’s “major”.

Aditi shot rounds of 75-73 (+6) & Natalie 77-78 (+13) to miss the cut-line set at 1-over par.

Aditi coming off of a career-best tied-3rd finish at the US$ 2.3mn Great Lakes Bay Invitational in Michigan is now headed to Japan for the Tokyo Olympics, where the women’s golf event is scheduled from August 4-7 at the hallowed old Kasumigaseki Country Club, outside of Tokyo.

Natalie turned pro in June 2020, just a month after being recognised as the nation’s top female collegiate golfer, during her final year at Furman University in South Carolina. Her entry into the Evian Championship came with the ANNIKA Award she received last year. She currently plays on the Symetra Tour, where she has played four events and made cuts in two and aims to earn a LPGA card in near future.
