Aditi’s best finish at a major is T-29th at PGA Championship in 2017

26-year-old Aditi Ashok of Bangalore is all set to play the 79th U.S. Women’s Open in Pennsylvania this week, for her 28th career major, a record for any Indian golfer. She has qualified based on finishing in the top 60 on the 2023 LPGA final money list.

She will be looking to improve on her 2023 major performances, where her best finish was 33rd at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links last July.

Joining her will be Indian origin American Megha Ganne, a second-year student at Stanford University who is playing her second U.S. Women’s Open after finishing tied-14th in 2021.

Ganne,  ranked 38th on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)  qualified for the major after winning the US Women’s Open qualifier held in California on April 15, where she carded a 6-under par over 36-holes to earn top position.
