Aditi will play her 27th major this week in Texas
26-year-old Aditi Ashok of Bangalore is all set to play the US$ 5.2mn Chevron Championship on the LPGA Tour in Houston, Texas this week based on her finishing in the top 80 of the final 2023 LPGA rankings.
Aditi has played over 26 women’s majors, the most by any Indian in professional golf. She will be looking to improve on her 2023 major performances where her best finish was 33rd at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links last July.
Meanwhile all eyes will be on Nelly Korda, the LPGA No 1 who has won her last four starts on the tour – and if she wins her 5th straight , will match the records of LPGA greats Nancy Lopez of USA and Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam, who have both won five straight events on Tour.
