Ajeetesh Sandhu who tragically lost a playoff recently at the US$500,000 Delhi GC Open a month ago, finished a creditable 17th in the US$ 750,000 Asia Pacific Open Golf in Ibaraki, Japan. The 33-year-old Sandhu shot 70-69-69-70 for a two-under par total of 278, which was six shots behind tournament winner Shugo Imahira. The tournament was jointly co-sanctioned by the Asian and Japan Tours
The other Indian in the field, Rahil Gangjee, a former winner on the JGTO, shot 75-69 (4-over 144) to miss the cut by a stroke.
