All India champ Aryan continues to impress

Bangalore’s Aryan Roopa Anand who recently defended his All-India Amateur championship title, continues to impress as he shot 66-66-70-68 (10-under 270) to register a five-shot win over Panchkula’s Yuvraj Singh at the Indian Golf Union’s Northern India Amateur Championship at Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur.

Shaurya Bhattacharya, the No.1 ranked amateur on the IGU Rankings finished 5th. .

Prior to his win in Jaipur, Anand had finished 2nd at the Western India Amateur Championship at Bombay Presidency GC in Mumbai.

Of the 13 events Aryan has played that offer World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points in 2022, he has won two and finished runners-up in two events. He also has five other top-10 finishes. He represented India at the Singapore Open Amateur, where he finished sixth, and followed that up with a 38th-place finish at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Thailand in November.
