The talented teenage trio of girls from South India – Avani Prashanth, Pranavi Urs and Sneha Singh , who have all received 3 year sponsorship contracts with AllCargo Logistics have recorded extraordinary success in the past couple of months, validating the company’s faith in them. While Avani won the All India Ladies, Pranavi and Sneha took the first two pro titles of the year in successive weeks – completing a dominating run by the AllCargo Trio.
Avani Prashanth
Still only 15, Avani from Bangalore is the 5th highest ranked 15 year old girl on the World Amateur Golf Rankings and since November has won the All India Juniors, All India Ladies Amateur and the Billoo Sethi stroke play tournament. She also represented India at the Asia-Pacific Women’s Championship, where she shot 71-71-71-70 (5-under 283) to finish tied-16th at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and the highest ranked 15 year old in the field.
A 9th standard student at Greenwood High School in Bangalore, Prashanth has recently become the first Indian to receive an invitation to compete in the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur scheduled for March 30 – April 2.
Sneha Singh
Sneha Singh of Hyderabad posted her fourth win on the Hero WPGT last week, when she shot a Hero WPGT record 7-under 29 on the back nine in the final round.
Still only 17, Singh won the All India Ladies Amateur in 2019, finished third at Faldo Series Asia India Championship in 2020, won the Southern & Western India Ladies Challenges.
In November – December 2021, she finished third at All India Ladies Amateur and was runner-up at All India Juniors.
Pranavi Urs
Mysore’s Pranavi Urs turned pro in 2020. The 18-year-old won the Hero WPGT’s season opener at Boulder Hills Golf & CC in Hyderabad, where she beat Gaurika Bishnoi in a playoff. Urs shot 65 in the second round, which is the lowest 18 hole score on the Hero WPGT Tour.
Pranavi has the distinction of winning four times on the women’s domestic pro tour (WGAI) and is a former Faldo Asia Junior Finalist. She also won the 2018 Singha World Junior in Thailand and the 2018 All India Junior Girls.
