Sukhman Singh – Category A Winner

16-year-old Sukhman Singh from Noida won the Category A competition in the Indian Golf Union’s (IGU) Haryana India Junior Boys Championship, played at Panchkula Golf Club in Panchkula with rounds of 75-68-71-74 (even-par 288) to win by three shots over Jujhar Singh of Punjab, who shot 74-71-75-71 (3-over 291).

In the Boys B Category, Anshul Mishra of West Bengal shot 68-74-79-74 (7-over 295) to also win by  three strokes over Trish Kal of Haryana, who shot 75-71-76-76 (10-over 298).

In Category C, Chaitanya Pandey of New Delhi shot 73-74-70 (1-over 217) for a comfortable seven-shot win over Jaibir Singh Kang of Haryana, who shot 75-75-74 (8-over 224).

Naveen Rathi, Anshul Mishra claim Northern India Junior Boys titles

Prior to the Haryana India Junior Boys Championship, the IGU staged the Northern India Junior Boys Championship at Chandigarh Golf Club from Aug. 8-11.

Following the two IGU tournaments, the Haryana Golf Federation staged the Golden Greens Amateur & Junior Tour tournament from Aug. 18-20  in Gurgaon with 39 golfers competing in 12 different categories for Boys and Girls.
