The IGU National Amateur Tour requires players to go through Feeder Tours before being eligible to play the national ranking events from where players are selected for International Teams. These smaller events provide a useful training ground for newcomers, wanting to get a feel for strokeplay tournaments and find out if they have what it takes to compete at the national level.

The second leg of IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour 2023 was played at Fort Williams Environmental Park & Training Area (FWEPTA) in Kolkata, one of the rare open amateur events played on a Defence course where  23-year-old Gurshaan Grewal from Kolkata shot 10-over 154 over 36 holes to win while Samridh Sen, another Kolkata golfer, finished four shots back in second place at 14-over 158.

The Feeder Tour is now set to continue in Jamshedpur, at the Golmuri Club on April 13 and 14.
