17-year-old Anika Varma, a first year student at Oregon University who has spent the last few years in California, shot 73-71-73 (1-over 217) to finish tied 11th individually and lead her team at the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona.
Her Oregon team, ranked 5th in the country, finished fifth while Northwestern won by 14 strokes over the defending champions and hosts, Arizona State.
The three-day, stroke play event saw 17 teams (90 players) competing.
