Anirban Lahiri, helped his 4 member Crushers Team to a remarkable come from behind win on the final day of LIV Golf Jeddah, shooting 65 while his team captain Bryson de Chambeau shot 62. Individually Lahiri recorded a 6th place finish with 68-67-65 in Saudi Arabia at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.
For his 6th place finish individually, Lahiri earned US$ 508,750 (₹4.2 crores), his best finish in the first three events of the 2024 season. The Crushers team, which includes American Charles Howell III and English Ryder Cup star Paul Casey, clinched the team prize by posting a total score of 38-under par for a four-shot victory over Stinger GC, consisting of South Africans Louis Oosthuizen, Dean Burmester, Branden Grace, and Charl Schwartzel – who have been in great form for the past few weeks.
Bryson DeChambeau, finished fourth individually with a 12 under par total and The Crushers earned a substantial prize of US$ 3 million for their triumph.
The LIV Golf Tour proceeds to Hong Kong this week, hosting its fourth event of the season from March 8-10 at the Hong Kong GC.
