36 year old Anirban Lahiri, who famously moved from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf in 2022, once again had a strong showing while helping Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers team to a second consecutive team title at the LIV Golf’s Hong Kong event played at Royal Hong Kong Golf Club. The team totaled 35-under par to beat Joaquin Niemann’s Torque by two-strokes.
Lahiri’s team earned US$ 3mn for their cumulative efforts with Englishman Paul Casey taking the runner-up spot individually after losing to Mexico’s Abraham Ancer in a three-way playoff which featured Australian Cameron Smith, the 2022 Open Champion.

Lahiri’s team was seven-strokes behind prior to the final round but the back-to-back titles have moved them to the top of the team points standings.
Last week, Crushers GC overcame a 11-shot deficit in Jeddah to win giving them four of the seven most recent LIV Golf tournament team titles and their cumulative final-round total of 41 under par this season is 10 strokes better than any other team.
The team aspect of the LIV Golf format has resonated with both Anirban and DeChambeau, who revel in the final round when all four scores count .
