Aryan Roopa Anand once again proves his game is solid
Two-time All India Champion, Aryan Roopa Anand beat Vinamra Anand in a 36-hole matchplay final to win the IGU Eastern India Amateur Championship at Royal Calcutta Golf Club in Kolkata.
Aryan was 4 holes down with 6 holes to play but managed to pull off a remarkable win.
Aryan said, “It was special and the most emotional victory by far. I played pretty well thru the match play rounds but Vinamra played fantastic on the final day. Coming from behind with very few to play and then winning the tournament feels surreal and I’m glad that I could do this in the memory of a very special person who isn’t with us anymore.”
