A total of 10 Indians flew to Morocco for the Asian Tour’s first ever event in the country – the US$ 1.5mn International Series Morocco at Royal Dar Es Salam. Seven of those players made the cut, which fell at 4-over 150.
Asian Tour winners S.S.P. Chawrasia (73-74-73-74), Ajeetesh Sandhu (74-76-72-72) and Karandeep Kochhar (75-74-74-71) were the best of the bunch. All three tied for 32nd with a four-round total of 2-over 294.
Following them were Gaganjeet Bhullar (74-72-76-74) and Viraj Madappa (75-74-73-74), who tied for 40th at 4-over 296.
The other two who made the cut were Aman Raj (74-73-74-76), who tied for 47th at 5-over 297, and Jyoti Randhawa (73-75-77-76), who tied for 62nd at 9-over 301.
Players who did not make the cut:
Veer Ahlawat – 76-79 (+9)
Chikkarangappa S – 79-77 (+10)
Honey Baisoya – 76-81 (+11)
Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand won the tournament with rounds of 71-70-72-67 (12-under 280).
The Asian Tour will now head to Egypt for its US$ 1.5mn International Series at Madinaty Golf Club from Nov. 10-13, where Saptak Talwar, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Chikkarangappa S, Viraj Madappa, Aman Raj, S.S.P Chawrasia, Veer Ahlawat, Karandeep Kochhar, Honey Baisoya and Khalin Joshi will be seen in action.
