Avani Prashanth and Sneha Singh are headed to the LPGA Qualifying Stage II, also known as the LPGA Q-Series, which had been postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Originally scheduled for October 15-18 at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida, the LPGA announced the new date of October 24-27th clashing with the Hero Women’s Indian Open in Delhi which means both top Indians will have to skip the national event.
Earlier this August, at Stage I held in California, 17-year-old Avani, India’s top-ranked amateur who is looking to transition into the professional ranks, demonstrated impressive form with rounds of 69-71-74-68 (6-under 282) to comfortably advance to Stage II. Similarly, 20-year-old Sneha Singh, the 2023 Hero Women’s Golf Rankings champion from Hyderabad, secured her place with rounds of 74-72-72-71 (1-over 289).
The Stage II of the LPGA Q-Series will now take place on the rescheduled dates, where the top 80 players will advance to the six-round (108-hole) Final Qualifying event in Alabama from December 5-9. The top 25 finishers at Final Qualifying will earn full LPGA Tour status for the 2025 season, while those finishing 26-45 and ties will receive conditional LPGA and Epson Tour status. Players outside the top 45 will gain partial Epson Tour status for the upcoming season.
