Avani Prashanth finished 9th in her last LET outing at the Magical Kenya Open 2023
16-year-old amateur Avani Prashanth, has once again been given a highly coveted sponsors’ invitation to the Ladies European Tour’s US$320,000 Amundi German Masters June 15-18 at the magnificent Golf & CC Seddiner See in Berlin, which she played in 2022.
Avani is enjoying an exceptional 2023 season with her victory this February at the esteemed Queen Sirikit Cup ( an Asia Pacific Women’s International Amateur Team Championship), solidifying her status as a rising star in the world of golf.. Avani’s participation in this prestigious competition is a testament to her last two LET finishes, 12th in the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2022 and 9th in the Magical Kenya Open 2023.
The Ladies European Tour also recently granted Avani an invitation to participate in the 2023 LET Qualifying tournament later in 2023, a year before she reaches the minimum age of 18 , otherwise stipulated for participants. This paves the way for Avani to join the paid ranks, should she win her playing rights for Europe and begin a new chapter in her promising career.
