The Indian contingent to the Duke of Edinburgh Cup with Prince Edward at Windsor Castle

The 13th annual Duke of Edinburgh Cup charity tournament to benefit Christel House School Bangalore, has sold out this year as 112 players are set to tee off at the KGA  Golf Club in Bangalore on Friday May 31st afternoon.

Recognised as one of the leading charity golf events in the world, two winners from this event will once again be invited to play in the prestigious ‘ Duke of Edinburgh Cup’ Charity golf World Finals in London which includes a round of golf at the private golf course of the Royal Family at Windsor Castle followed by a black tie sit down champagne dinner with a member of the Royal Family in the state ballroom of Windsor Castle – a unique , once in a lifetime, money can’t buy experience. 

At the world final, the two Indians will compete over three days on some of London’s leading golf courses against winners of other selected charity golf tournaments from around the world.

The Friday, May 31st, tournament in Bangalore includes an afternoon shotgun start followed by cocktails and  Awards dinner at KGA. Entry is by donation only and goes to support the education of underprivileged children at the famous Christel House school in Bangalore.

The tournament is once again presented by Swagelok in association with Bio-Gen Extracts while several Bangalore headquartered MNC’s and SME’s are supporting the charitable cause of Christel House again. 

The tournament is being played in a two member team format with the 18 hole total stableford scores of both team members adding up for the team score. The team with the highest total points qualifies for the World Final in London, UK in late September 2024 which includes 5 nights stay at the historic Castle Hotel – across the street from Windsor Castle, 4 rounds of golf and the gala dinner at Windsor Castle with a member of the British Royal Family .
