
Gaganjeet Bhullar will add star power to the event this week at DLF
Gaganjeet Bhullar, a European Tour winner in 2018 and a 10-time Asian Tour winner will be the star attraction at the tournament.
Bhullar has the maximum Asian Tour wins by any Indian and the 3rd highest of any player in Asian Tour history. He earned his 10th win very recently at the US$ 500,000 Indonesian Open in August 2022.

Interestingly, Bhullar’s parents were both international athletes. His father, Harbhajan Singh, represented India at the Asian Games in the 400m sprint while his mother Sarabjit Kaur was a high-jumper. He always was headed for a pro career following a win at the 2005 World Junior Masters Championship followed by a team silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, at age 17.

Bhullar turned pro in 2006 and holds the record of never ever missing a cut on the PGTI. His victory at the Gujarat Kensville Challenge 2011 made him the first Indian to win a title on the European Challenge Tour. In 2013, he was presented the Arjuna Award for his achievements.

Bhullar’s only win on the European Tour came in 2018, when he held his nerve over the final few holes in windy conditions to win the Fiji International.
The Gaganjeet Bhullar Foundation, started in 2013 with the main objective of helping underprivileged people in the areas of medical, educational, and youth developments, including helping underprivileged yet very talented young golfers.
