The BMW Golf Cup 2025 – India kicked off in Coimbatore with participants competing for a spot at the World Final

BMW India has launched the much-anticipated India edition of the BMW Golf Cup 2025, one of the largest international amateur golf tournament series. The competition commenced in Coimbatore and will traverse top-tier golf courses across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Greater Noida, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Gurugram. The winners of these regional tournaments will compete at the national finals in Gurugram later in the year.

The BMW Golf Cup, originating from a British-based initiative 25 years ago, has grown into a global tournament series featuring 1,000 qualifying events across 50 countries, with over 100,000 amateur golfers participating annually. The best players from each nation advance to the prestigious BMW Golf Cup World Final.

Participation in the BMW Golf Cup is by invitation only, open to amateur golfers who are members of recognized golf clubs in India. BMW India dealers nominate BMW owners with an interest in competitive golf. The tournament comprises three categories:

  • Category A: Handicaps up to 12
  • Category B: Handicaps 13–28
  • Ladies Category: Handicaps up to 28

The top performers in each category at the national finals will earn the opportunity to represent India at the World Final.

Mr. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, emphasised the company’s dedication to the sport: “The BMW Golf Cup is a testament to BMW Group India’s unwavering commitment to fostering golf at the grassroots level. It provides amateur golfers with a distinguished platform to refine and showcase their skills in a competitive yet picturesque environment. This tournament remains a standout event in our annual calendar, reinforcing our long-standing legacy in supporting the sport.”

The tournament extends beyond competition, serving as an exclusive social and networking event for participants and attendees. Additionally, the BMW Lifestyle Collection will be on display at the venues, offering exclusive promotions on premium merchandise.

With India among the 50 participating nations in this global series, the BMW Golf Cup 2025 not only elevates amateur golf but also strengthens BMW’s connection with its customers, blending sport with luxury and excellence.
