The Nirmayan Charity Pro-Am Tournament played its fourth edition on Apr. 2 at Poona Golf Club to help raise funds for NGOs like the Indian Cancer Society, Mudita Foundation and Yes! We Can. The event, titled sponsored by Bridgestone India, saw participation of top golfers such as Shiv Kapur, Shubhankar Sharma, SSP Chawrasia, Chikkarangappa, Rahil Gangjee, Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi and Olympian Udayan Mane.
The tournament was played using a modified Texas Scramble format, which involved 1 Pro and 3 Amateurs. Pro Veer Ahlawat’s team of Amateurs Jay Shirke, Padmaja Shirke, Advait Gokhale bagged first prize, with Vikrant Chopra’s team of Amateurs Deepak Bhargava, Aditya Natekar & Avinash Deoskar finishing runners-up.
A highlight of the charity event was the auctioning of apparel and equipment used by Olympians PV Sindhu, Mary Kom, Udayan Mane, Anirban Lahiri and former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
