As India’s top golf courses gear up for the next season, major renovations are underway at two of the country’s most prominent venues – Prestige Golfshire Club in Bangalore and Noida Golf Course (NGC) in Delhi NCR. These upgrades aim to enhance playing conditions, improve infrastructure, and keep pace with international standards.

Turf maintenance
Prestige Golfshire – Bangalore
The first phase of renovation at Prestige Golfshire has commenced, with the prime focus on deep aeration of the turf for enhanced soil permeability. This process is crucial for maintaining consistent turf health, particularly during the wet season.

Noida Golf Course – Delhi NCR
Noida Golf Course is undergoing an extensive, two-phase re-laying project on the back 9 holes, to modernise the course while allowing golfers to continue playing on the front 9. The renovations are part of a broader effort to align the facility with recent advancements in neighboring clubs and newly developed courses across India. The Back 9 will be closed for play for at least 12 months.
Key aspects of the renovation include:
- Sequential re-laying of the course, starting with the back-9 before proceeding to the front-9.
- A complete revamp of the irrigation system to improve water efficiency.
- Enhancement of water storage facilities to ensure better resource management.
- Upgrading the Driving Range, Short Game Practice Area, and Practice Putting Greens.
These developments mark a significant investment in Indian golf infrastructure, ensuring that these courses remain premier destinations for both professional and amateur golfers in the years to come.
