The 10th Caddy Welfare Trust (CWT) Members Charity Golf Tournament took place on March 26th and 27th at Delhi Golf Club, drawing nearly 500 participants and sponsors. The event featured top-notch golf and hospitality, concluding with a well-attended Prize Distribution ceremony.
Supported by donors and sponsors, the tournament showcased exceptional golf performances. Bikram Singh clinched the overall gross and 0-6 Nett prize with a remarkable score of -1 under, while Sidhant Kalra triumphed in the 7-12 handicap category. Notably, Lal Raisinghani, a senior with a 13 handicap, delivered his best performance with a score of 8 over gross.
The Trust, backed by over 70 sponsors, continuously expands its initiatives. Recent endeavours include introducing the National Pension Scheme for caddies and signing an MOU with Qutab Golf Club for life insurance coverage, ration distribution, and medical assistance. Additionally, in collaboration with Rotary South Delhi, the Trust raised awareness about cervical cancer and vaccinated caddies’ wives and daughters.
Furthermore, the Trust supports academic excellence by covering school fees, offering scholarships, and organizing English conversation classes. Established in 2011 by the Late Siddharth Shriram, the Caddies Welfare Trust remains dedicated to supporting the caddy community and relies on corporate and individual support to enhance their livelihoods.
