Mahreen Bhatia registered a win by five-strokes in U-16 Category
14 year old Mahreen Bhatia, from Delhi, shot 68-70-72 (even-par 210) to win the Faldo Junior Tour Middle East Championship Under 16 girls prize at Al Ain in UAE. She thus qualified for the Asian Grand final of the Faldo series taking place in Dubai this November against winners from other countries.

Bhatia, who competed in the Girls U-16 category, finished five shots ahead of Zurich Kanokpornvasin, who shot 70-73-70 (5-over 215) to finish second.
The Faldo Junior Tour events are 54-hole WAGR ranked events, helping juniors to establish themselves and have been held in India also for many years prior to the pandemic.
