21-year-old Diksha Dagar of Haryana shot 72-66-64 (11-under 202) to register her best finish this year – 3rd place at the US$ 325,000 Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
Diksha earned US$ 19,500 (₹ 15.5 lacs) and moved to 45th on the Race to Costa del Sol, which is the season-long competition to crown the Ladies European Tour’s number one player. She’s now ranked 366th on the Rolex Women’s Rankings and also enters Olympics Qualification rankings of top 60.
A return to form is welcome considering the US$400,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open scheduled October 20-23rd at DLF G&CC in Gurgaon around the corner for Diksha.
In 2022, Diksha has made 13 cuts in 21 events, with total earnings of US$ 56,216 (₹44.7 lacs) in total. Earlier this year Diksha won Gold for India at the World Deafalympics earning accolades from the Haryana Government.
Among other Indians competing in France, Tvesa Malik shot 68-72-74 (1-over 214) to finish tied-40th, Amandeep Drall 69-74-76 (6-over 219) for 63rd and Vani Kapoor 72-73-76 (8-over 221) to finish 65th in France.
The tournament was won by Ines Laklalech of Morocco, who shot 65-66-68 (14-under 199) to join Meghan Maclaren of England in a playoff and made a bogey on the first-extra hole for her maiden LET title.
The 24-year-old LET rookie professional Laklalech made history by becoming the first Moroccan, first Arab and first North African woman to win a Ladies European Tour title at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France in Deauville.

Tvesa Malik, Diksha Dagar, Vani Kapoor & Amandeep Drall will now head to Ireland for the US$ 400,000 Women’s Irish Open from Sep. 22-25 at Dromoland Castle after which they will return to India, since the LET has a break in the schedule.
