Diksha shot her career-low round of 65 in Germany

Diksha Dagar, the 21-year-old from Haryana, shot 7 under par 65 , her lowest round as a pro to jump to 16th place in the US$ 310,000 Amundi German Masters played outside Berlin at Golf & Country Club Seddiner See.

Dagar’s third round 65 was the second-best score in the entire four round tournament, and Dagar’s lowest score since she shot 64 in Morocco during the LET Qualifying Tournament a few years ago.  It is also the lowest round on the LET by an Indian pro this year and one of the lowest rounds by an Indian lady pro ever (Aditi Ashok shot a 64 in Dubai in 2020).

Another impressive performance came from 15-year-old amateur Avani Prashanth, the youngest player in the field who made the cut while playing her first ever LET event. Prashanth shot 72-74-74-76 while struggling with her game since she opted to leave her wayward driver in the bag and use only her 3 wood.

Avani will next head to Scotland for the R&A Junior Open and then the Ladies European Amateur in Paris and plans to spend two days with her coach Laurence Brotheridge in Leeds, England, prior to that to work out the kinks in her game.

The third Indian player, Ridhima Dilawari, who won the last HWPGT event in Bangalore two weeks ago, shot 68-78-72-74 (4-over 292) to finish tied for 55th.

Meanwhile Amandeep Drall (71-77), Tvesa Malik (76-77) and Vani Kapoor (74-79) all missed the cut set at 2-over 146.
