Diksha Dagar stands 4th on the LET’s Order of Merit

22-year-old Diksha Dagar, currently 4th in the Ladies European Tour rankings with a win and six top-10 finishes to her name this season, captained a four member team to 9th place finish at the lucrative US$ 500,000 Aramco Team Series played at Hong Kong Golf Club.

The team consisted of two English LET players Meghan Mclaren and Rosie Davies and one amateur. The captain picks one pro team member and the second is allocated by draw.

The Aramco Series consists of this unique team format with five events in 3 continents – Singapore, Florida, London, Hongkong followed by the final in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and offers a total prize fund of US$5 million.

The 54-hole tournament in HK was reduced to 36 holes due to an alert for Typhoon Koinu.

Individually Diksha finished in 38th place with rounds of 75-72 (total 1-over 147).

The LET comes to India next for the much awaited US$ 400,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open (HWIO) from Oct. 19-22 at DLF Golf & CC in Gurgaon and all eyes will be on Diksha Dagar as she hopes to use the home course advantage to score another victory and possibly jump closer to the top ranking for the LET season.

The HWIO is an important opportunity for Indian girls to gain valuable world ranking points and improve their standing on the LET.
