Amandeep Drall
28-year-old Amandeep Drall of Panchkula, shot rounds of 70-69-71 (6-under 210) to finish a creditable tied-4th at the US$ 47,000 Flumserberg Ladies Open in Switzerland. While Gurgaon based Vani Kapoor shot 72-70-72 (2-under 214) for a creditable tied-14th finish.
Five Indian girls were in the fray, with 18-year-old Durga Nittur (+3, 74-77-72) finishing tied-54th, 19-year-old Asmitha Sathish (+9, 77-71-77) tied-58th and four-time winner on the Hero WPGT Pranavi Urs (+11, 80-75) missing the cut in their maiden international professional appearances.
A total of seven Indian girls will be participating at the upcoming US$ 40,000 Lavaux Ladies Open in Switzerland from Sep. 15-17, where Ashmitha Sathish, Pranavi Urs, Durga Nittur, Vani Kapoor and Amandeep Drall will be joined by Gurugram based Gaurika Bishnoi and Ridhima Dilawri. It is unfortunate that the HWPGT tour has 3 events scheduled during this time when so many of the top Indian players are overseas.
