European Tour-bound, 9-time Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (WPGT) winner Sneha Singh overcame a challenging start in the second leg of the 2025 WPGT season to secure a dominant 8-shot victory at the Tollygunge Golf Club in Kolkata. The 20-year-old from Hyderabad, who will play most of 2025 on the Ladies European Tour (LET), posted the best round of the week at 3-under-par to finish with a total score of 4-under 206. This marked an impressive eight-shot victory over seasoned veteran and 2016 WPGT Rankings winner, Vani Kapoor.

Interestingly, Sneha battled a fever of 102 degrees and severe body pain, nearly withdrawing before the final round, where she held a narrow one-shot lead over Vani. Both players stumbled early with bogeys on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th holes. Sneha then regained control and unleashed 7 birdies in the last 14 holes to run away from the field.

Sneha had finished on top of the Hero WPGT season-end rankings in 2023 and 2nd in 2024 to Hitaashee Bakshi. Both these girls will be seen in action in Europe with partial playing rights this year, along with Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs, and Avani Prashanth – who all enjoy full playing rights.

The pair of 19-year-olds from Bangalore – Jasmine Shekar, a two-time winner last season, and Anvitha Narender, who won her first event as a rookie last year, finished tied-third with a total score of 8-over 218.

Notably, 16-time WPGT winner Amandeep Drall from Chandigarh rebounded after two difficult rounds of 79-79 with a redeeming 2-under 68 on the final day, one of only four under-par rounds of the tournament. This saw her finish in a tie for seventh, just ahead of Kolar’s Rhea Purvi Saravananthe first-leg winner last week, who finished eighth with a 74. Amandeep Drall will also be playing in Europe this year with partial playing rights.

The tour will resume after a month-long break with Leg 3 scheduled for February 18-21 at the Poona Club Golf Course in Pune, after which, they will play two events in NCR during March.
