25 yr old Gaurika Bishnoi of Delhi, who was invited to the US$1 million Aramco Team Series Riyadh thanks to her 8th place finish at October’s US$400,000  Hero Women’s Indian Open at DLF G&CC, Gurgaon, made full use of the opportunity recording a 2nd place finish in the team event and a 19th individually.

Gaurika added a 64 in the final round after opening with 72-68 to star for her 3 member team led by individual winner Alison Lee, and pick up US$14,000 to add to the US$7,000 she got individually for a handsome US$21,000 (₹17.8 lacs) payday for the week.

This was only Gaurika’s second event on the LET for the season but she has managed to get into the top 135 in the LET rankings which puts her directly into the final stage of qualifying to get her playing rights for 2024.

Diksha Dagar, who was looking at a strong finish to climb to the top spot in the LET rankings, could only finish 51st to stay in 2nd place.

The tour will now head to Spain for its US$ 420,000 Mallorca Ladies Open from Nov. 16-18, followed by its season finale, the US$ 700,000 Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana from Nov. 23-26. Two important weeks for Diksha to try and create history finishing No 1 in Europe.
