The Golf Industry Association (GIA) will stage the 9th edition of the annual GIA Golf Summit this week, on October 13-14 at Qutab Golf Club in Saket, New Delhi. The event returns after a two-year break because of the Covid pandemic.
The two-day summit will consist of conference sessions by well known international experts, an exhibition of various products and services related to the business of construction, maintenance and operations of golf courses, as well as playing equipment, accessories and services related to the golf industry.
The summit will also include a gala awards dinner honouring outstanding achievements in the Indian golf business and a round of golf for select invitees.
The last GIA summit was held in April 2019 at the Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. It was attended by 800 delegates. The 2018 summit, which was held at Hotel Lalit Ashok in Bangalore, featured a day-long conference on sustainability in golf by the first ever official delegation to India from the R&A of St. Andrews. Prior to that, three editions were held at DLF Club V in Gurgaon, two editions at Oxford Resort, Pune and the first ever GIA summit at Eagleton Resort, Bangalore in 2013.
