The Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT) enters its final stretch this month with three consecutive tournaments in the Delhi-NCR to determine the Year’s No 1 domestic player. Starting this week at Delhi Golf Club followed by DLF G&CC next week and concluding at Golden Greens in Gurgaon from September 24-27.
The race for the No. 1 spot will be intense. Delhi’s Hitaashee Bakshi currently leads the money list with Rs 10,77,500, closely followed by Hyderabad’s Sneha Singh, last season’s top player, who has earned Rs 9,39,500. Both have two victories this season, setting up a thrilling contest for the title.
The stakes are high, as the No. 1 player will secure a coveted spot in the Ladies European Tour’s Final Qualifying Stage, to be held in Morocco this December.
These final events also serve as crucial preparation for the upcoming US$400,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open, scheduled for October 24-27 at DLF G&CC. Indian fans, still waiting for a homegrown winner since Aditi Ashok’s triumph in 2016, are eager to see if this year’s players, led by Diksha Dagar can rise to the challenge.
