The idyllic Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA) course played host to the third leg of the 24th annual edition of the Chola World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) on December 9. A light shower during the registration gave way to a cloudy and cool morning which saw HGA playing in perfect condition. The evening prior to the event, sponsors and participants could meet at the pre-event social evening held at the open-air terrace overlooking the fairways at HGA.
The four winners from Hyderabad will join the winners from qualifying rounds in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi, to compete at the India National Final scheduled for summer 2025.
The top two from the National Final will then go on to represent India at the Annual World Final of the WCGC at a destination to be announced soon, where they will compete with winners from 40 other countries and over 7500 corporate executives competing to be crowned “Champions of World Golf Challenge”.
Last year’s World Final was held on Hainan Island, China and prior to that in Portugal and Tenerife, Spain for a few years. India has finished on top of the World Finals in 2010 in South Africa and 2015 at Otaivos Dunes, outside Lisbon, Portugal.
