Hitaashee wins her third title of the season in Hyderabad
Hitaashee Bakshi of Gurgaon, clinched her third professional title of the season in a tight finish over Mysore’s Pranavi Urs and local Sneha Singh on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT) at Boulder Hills Golf & CC in Hyderabad.
The 17-year-old Hitaashee shot 69-68-72 (-7) to win by two strokes over Order of Merit leader Pranavi Urs, who has already won four times this season.
Hitaashee started her final round one-shot ahead of Sneha Singh and added a front nine 37 against Pranavi’s charging 35, however, they both finished with matching 35’s on the back 9, giving her the two stroke victory .
A total of 19 players participated in the tournament while six Indian pros were playing on the Ladies European Tour in Finland. This week will see the tour move for its next event, the 12th of the HWPGT season at Hyderabad Golf Association.
These tournaments will provide useful match practice before the Ladies European Tour’s historic qualifying tournament at ITC Classic, Gurgaon in mid October followed by the US$400,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open at DLF from October 20-23rd.
