Vinamra Anand and Harimohan Singh of Noida tied with Jai Bahl of New Delhi at 10-under 270, for a playoff, in which Anand emerged victorious at the IGU Telangana Amateur Championship held at the Hyderabad Golf Association course playing 6017 yards in length.
In February, Anand represented India at the African Amateur Stroke Play Championship, South African Stroke-Play Championship, and South African Amateur Championship, where he secured a 33rd-place finish.
Tushar Pannu of Panchkula secured 4th place with 272.
Remarkably, 47-year-old Simarjeet Singh of Noida, the current All India Mid-Amateur champion finished tied 9th place at 278 while former Olympic swimmer Rehan Poncha, who has qualified for his first season on the main IGU men’s circuit finished 34th at 293.
The IGU Men’s circuit will be on a summer break of two months and resume in September.
