21-year-old Malini Rudra, a final year student and the captain of Williams College Golf Team led her team to a come from behind victory in a two day collegiate event in New York.
Her final round even-par 72 consisting of four birdies helped her team make up a six shot deficit and emerge with a 3 shot win over Amherst College in the Martin & Wallace Collegiate Invitational.
Reportedly with the team 6 shots back after the first round, each player of Williams pledged to the coach to play their best to beat their arch rival Amherst. Their two day total score of 585 also created a new record for the tournament.
