Sahith Theegala
Indian origin Sahith Theegala from Los Angeles who enjoys full playing rights on the PGA Tour registered an 8th place finish at the 2nd event of the new season, the US$ 7mn Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi after leading the tournament for the first 3 days. The Pepperdine University graduate and 2019 US men’s Collegiate player of the Year, shot 64-67-67 but finished with a 71 for a total of 19-under 269.
Sahith graduated to the PGA Tour after finishing 4th and 6th in the last two events of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals to conclude the previous season. The Korn Ferry Tour’s top 25 graduates earn automatic playing rights for the PGA Tour the following year.
Sahith played seven events on the PGA Tour 2021 season and registered a tied-14th at the Safeway Open as his best finish.
