Among several Indian kids who travelled to North Carolina, USA for the annual US Kids championship, the best result was produced by Ojaswini Saraswat, a 9 year-old who is No. 1 in her age group on the IGU’s Merit List. She shot 33-36-36 (3-under 105) over 27 holes to finish 2nd in the Girls 9 yrs category , one stroke shy of the winner.
In the Boys 7 yrs category, Kabir Goyal of Noida shot 37-35-39 (3-over 111) to finish tied for 4th.
The tournament featured 1,413 junior golfers, out of which 864 were boys and 549 were girls competing in 13 different age categories.
In the Boys 10 yrs category, Chaitanya Pandey of New Delhi shot 73-72-73 (2-over 218) to finish 25th among 148 players in the field.
In the Boys 12 yrs category, Noida’s Arshvant Srivastava finished 10th with scores of 69-74-72 (1-under 215) among 129 players in the field.

Each year, the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship welcomes golfers ages 5-12 to ten championship courses in the famous Pinehurst area. The schedule consists of a Parade of Nations, Parent-Child Tournament, Trackman Demo Days, three rounds of championship play, and the Closing Ceremony. Following the three-day championship, the Van Horn Cup — a one-day best ball tournament featuring the top 12-year-old boys and girls — is contested on Pinehurst No. 4.
