India’s top pro golfers are yet to get into title contention on the Asian Tour as Gaganjeet Bhullar finished highest last week at 22nd in the US$ 2.5mn International Series Qatar at Doha Golf Club.

Karandeep Kochhar and Rashid Khan were the next best Indians at 35th on 6-over 294 while Shiv Kapur, who has four Asian Tour titles to his name, finished 51st
Veteran stars Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa, both made the halfway cut to their credit but finished further down the leaderboard in the newly launched International series event which featured a bigger purse and strong field of players.
Indian players who missed the cut at 6-over 150 included –
S.S.P. Chawrasia – 72-79 (151)
Chikkarangappa S. – 76-76 (152)
Honey Baisoya – 77-76 (153)
Veer Ahlawat – 76-80 (156)
24-year-old American Andy Ogletree, the 2019 U.S. Amateur champion shot 71-71-66-73 (7-under 281) to win his second title on the Asian Tour.
The Asian tour will now take a two week break before heading to New Zealand for its NZ$ 1,650,000 New Zealand Open at Millbrook Resort from March 2-5.
