Sharma opened promisingly with rounds of 67 and 71, but scores of 75 & 69 on the weekend dropped him to  51st at 2-over par,  282

In addition to Sharma, Viraj Madappa, Rashid Khan & Shiv Kapur made the halfway cut set at 4-over 144. Madappa, who won the 36-hole qualifier played in Abu Dhabi, tied 55th alongside Khan.  Kapur, who opened with a stellar 65, finished tied-68th at 8-over 288.

The Asian Tour will take a two weeks break before moving to Thailand for the US$ 400,000 Royal’s Cup.
