Yuvraj Singh Sandhu registered a T-23 finish in Chinese Taipei

A total of nine Indian professionals were at the US$1 million Asian Tour event in Chinese Taipei this week trying to climb the year long Asian Tour rankings which for the first time in three decades sees no Indians in the top 40.

Yuvraj Sandhu ( 23rd)  who won on the 2023 Asian Development Tour (ADT), Karandeep Kochhar (32nd) who has several wins domestically on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), former Asian Tour winner Ajeetesh Sandhu (32nd) ( all from Chandigarh) and veteran Shiv Kapur (63rd) who used to be a regular in Europe were the only 4 Indians to survive the 36-hole cut.

Indians missing the cut were Rashid Khan, Gaganjeet Bhullar, S.S.P. Chawrasia, Chikkarangappa S. and Varun Chopra.

The Indians remain in Chinese Taipei this week for another US$ 1mn Asian Tour event from Oct. 3-6, which has been severely affected due to the Typhoon lashing the island nation this week. Players have been warned to stay indoors and be careful.
