Anirban Lahiri secured a T-17th finish, making him the best-placed Indian in the tournament

AS the struggles of Indian golfers on the Asian Tour continue, LIV Golf standout Anirban Lahiri, 37, finished as the best among the 15 Indians in the starting line up at the Asian Tour’s US$ 2 million International Series England staged last week at Foxhills Golf & CC outside London. Lahiri carded rounds of 72-70-68-68, ending at 17th place with a total score of 6-under 278.

Jeev opened with 69-68 and closed with 71-75, totaling 1-under 283.

Karandeep Kochhar from Chandigarh ended tied-55th with a score of 1-over 285, while past Asian Tour winner Khalin Joshi finished 70th at 5-over 290.

Indian pros who missed the cut included –

Rayhan Thomas, Veer Ahlawat, Honey Baisoya, S.S.P. Chawrasia, Varun Chopra, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rashid Khan, Jyoti Randhawa, Chikkarangappa S. and Yuvraj Singh Sandhu.

The Asian Tour will now take a two week break and return with the US$ 500,000 Indonesia Open from Aug. 29-Sep. 1.
